Save-the-date cards vs. magnets

Original post by Amor2009

What do you think is better? Just sending a card or actually sending a magnet?

I am trying to save money where I can... and Snapfish.com was having a promtion of 20 cards for 20 cents... so on a whim I order 20 to see if liked them. They came out really cute. I have two issues:

1. its not a holiday card per say.... because it doesn't say happy holidays on it.... but it does have snow flakes.

2. People might look at it and just throw it away after a week or so. I think people keep the magnets longer.... (at least I do.)

Now should I order more? Or should I order a magnet? And if I do order a magnet I am not ordering ones with our pictures because I really do need to save money where I can.

I have a small picture of what the one from snap fish looks like... I had to us print screen so it didn't come out that great....

I did my magnets through a giftful heart and they were really cheap, and pretty

to be honest... my family always ends up throwing out magnets... we have a stainless steel fridge thus nothing to put a magnet on...

most of my family now has that type of fridge also...including fh... so i have postcards instead !!

Have you checked on vistaprint.com, their magnets are relatively affordable for those of us on a tight budget. I ordered 25 of them for $22 with shipping included.

i used magnets and everyone always comments on how much they loved it and they have it on their fridge.

i think there are kits online or at staples that allow you to make ur own magnet save the dates

Personally I prfer magnets... but you can order the cards and then order magnets seperately and attach them! That might save you some money!
