Save the Date help

Save the Date help

So I am getting ready to send out my save the dates and i have a few questions

1) is it okay not to mail one out to someone you aren't sure you will invite, like can you not send them a save the date but invite them later on?

2) I wasn't going to send save the dates to people at work, who knows who will quit, get fired, or promoted between now and my wedding invites going out, is this ok?

3) can i mail them out in waves or should they all go into the mail like on the same day?

4) if you plan on inviting someone with guest do you write that on the save the date or do you just write that on the formal invite when you send those out?

THanks.

Re: Save the Date help

Hi

I only mailed my std to OOT guests and close friends and family.
You don't have to send them to everyone you may very well be unsure of who you are inviting. I sent mine out of a period of 2 weeks i was waiting for some addressess.
You don't have to put and guest on the std. You are just letting the person you are inviting know they should std.

Good Luck

Only send STDs (as my FH likes to call them) to people you're possitive you're inviting. Some people only send them to out of towners that need to make additional arrangements.

I would hold off on work people...but we're not really inviting anyone from work - just one person and her husband...they're the only ones we hang out with on a regular basis outside of work -and would remain friends with if we didn't work together - that was our rule - otherwise the list would have been out of control...tough but needed to be done. Besides, I'm sure it's a topic at work, so people will know when it is. We're also inviting a few people that used to work with us, but are still friends with.

Waves or all the same day - either is fine.

You don't need to put the guest on the save the date, but in some cases we were inviting the couple, but not their kids...so we wrote on the back 'John & Jane - Hope to see you there!'...so there wasn't confusion.

Re: Save the Date help

We wrote down 'and guest' because all of our guests are from OOT. That way people could figure out if they wanted to fly in with someone before the invites went out.

We didn't send everyone STDs. Only those we were definate we were inviting.
