I was planning on buying designer business cards from Paper Direct and printing them on my computer and then buying the business card size magents from Staples or Office Max.
We made ours too. If I had a scanner I'd show you. They are pictures of us with the saying 'This day I will marry my best friend' above it. Then under the picture it has our names and our date. I ran little notecards through the printer and on them it had intwined hearts and it jsut said Save the Date. We stuck the magnets in there and that's it. We got all our supplies at Staples.

Re: Save the date magnets...
If anyone is going to make their own magnets, I suggest Magnet Valley . The magnets come 10 on a sheet (like business cards) and they are printable. They are thin and flexible. I think I paid $12 for 10 sheets (100 magnets).

Re: Save the date magnets...
I sent save the dates this week. I wasn't going to but I was concerned about hotel room availability for all the out of town guests. I used http://www.necessitees.com/stdm28.htm
They deliever in 2 days. The magnets were very reasonable. I purchased floral Heart wreath note cards. (It matches the magnet :) Inserted the hotel info, a personal note and the magnet.
Now everyone knows where the hotel is and they can book in advance. My job is done it is up to them now. One less thing for me to obsess over :) On to something else.
