save the date question

Ok, So I am sending out about 100 invites..I figure only 80 or so will show...should I still send save the date cards? Or just see what happens..

I think it depends on if you have a lot of out of town guests that need to know ahead of time for travel plans. If you do, I'd send the STDs.

Save the Dates are optional. If you aren't having it on a holiday week and don't have a lot of out of towners then you don't necessarily have to send them. Unless of course you want to.

You don't have to send STD's. We have 80 invitations going to Ireland and England so we're sending save the dates (year in advance) to just those ppl. so they can book flights, etc.

I will not be sending STD's to USA ppl., because they all know about the wedding already.

Makes Sense. Here is my situation. I will not have anyone coming to the wedding who has to take a plane. Everyone who is coming will be coming by car, the only prob is that it might be a long ride for a lot of them. So should I send STD anyway? Just so they know and it will allow them enough time to go ahead and think about booking a hotel etc.

hi date twin! I'm sending std out only b/c its in the summer there tends to be alot going on w/people weddings, bbq's,parties and vacations. And it's a good idea for out of town guests to plan where to stay take off work and save money if needed to do so

Yea good point. Like I said before no one is really coming by plane to my wedding, all by car, but it will be a long trip for some, so I want to warn them lol...plus like you said it is the summer time and people tend to go on vacation, bbq, parties etc...so might as well prepare them
