Save the date question

Save the date question

Hey Girls...

I guess I just need an opinion....how many of you did STD? For those of you who did use them, was the overall outcome of YES RSVP's greater since they knew of the date in advance?

We are trying to figure out if we should get STD or not....My sister got them for her wedding a few years ago, but that was because she got married Thanksgiving weekend and wanted to make sure people didn't plan a vacation or anything....

If so, how far in advance do you send them? We are getting married next October and I guess if we do order them, we should start looking now, right?

Suggestions?

Thanks ladies!

I gave them as part of our favor for the eparty. But I didn't send them out to everyone else who did not attend.

Most girls who do send them out, send them 9-12months in advance.

We sent ours out a week after our 1-year mark. I also have a lot of OOT guests, so I figured it'd be a good idea.

We are sending STD to OOT people ONLY. We are planning on including the hotel rate info so they have time to make the reservations.
We got ours from Michaels (40 pack) and saved a lot of money.
We are planning to have them all ready to go by 8/15 (8months before the wedding) I hope that helps.
