How are you (or did you) address the envelopes that the save the dates are going out in? I dont know whether to handwrite them, print labels, print directly on the envelopes, or go all out and have a calligrapher do them. What did you do? Help!

Re: Save the Date question..
we had a calligrapher do them and they were freakin beautiful!
BUT, in hindsight, I probably would have just done the computer calligraphy for our stds.

I printed directly on the envelope, but I used a gray color and a nice font. They looked great!

We did clear labels in nice purple font. We loved how they came out and they were cheap :)

I think I'm gonna try printing directly on the envelope...just gotta figure out how! Is it easy?

Re: Save the Date question..
Did computer labels in calligraphy font. Soooo much easier/faster than handwriting. We are going to do computer labels for our invites as well. I can't spend over $100 on calligraphy for an envelope that is going to get squished and dirty in the mail and then thrown out right away.

It was. I took one enveloped and used it as my 'trail', so I printed on it several times until I found the correct alignment, but it all worked out!

We just used clear labels and a nice font for the STD labels. They looked great and were very inexpensive and easy to do. We figured if we're gonna spend money on calligraphy, we'd rather do it for the invites

Re: Save the Date question..
I did clear labels. It was easier and less $$. PLUS I had the labels already done for my thank yous (if I ever order them) and was able to give them to my mom to do my shower invites.
