Save the Date Question?

Save the Date Question?

So, I am getting ready to put in my order for save the dates and I am trying to figure out how many to order... Currently we have an A list and a B list... I know that I should not be sending save the dates to my B list people, but here's two questions:

1) Do ALL of my A-list people need a Save the Date?

2) What if some people on the A list are friends with people on the B list? Will it get awkward bc they will assume they are not invited and then if I eventually DO decide to invite them they will be confused?

Feeling slightly overwhelmed with the guest list situation as I feel like relationships/friendships change and alter within a year and I am nervous.

HELP!
Thanks :)

Save the Date Question?

I pretty much sent the STD's to all of the A-list people, and slowly sent to the B list until eventually they all were invited. It kind of turned into one of those things where if one person on the B list knew someone on the A-list, then they would know they didn't get a save the date and would find out that they were an afterthought, so we just ended up sending to all lol

I only sent a STD to people we were absolutely inviting. We left out a couple of FH male single friends because they wouldn't care to have one lol I really wouldn't worry about B list people feeling some kind of way. But that's just me...

I agree. We only sent ours to our A list people. No one on our B complained or had any remarks as to why they didn't get one. Just remember, even tho you want to invite everyone, unfortunaltey you can't. So a lot of people understand that

I sent STDs to the entire A-list, but none to the B-list. I haven't heard any feedback from B-listers so I'm guessing it's all good.

I'm not doing them at all. But if you send them to the B-list, then you probably will have to invite them. I think that if you get a STD and not a wedding invite, that's kind of rude.

Yeaa, I decided to forgo the STD's. Being of a large Indian Church community, word gets around much to quickly than people prefer.

It's best if there's not to big an overlap between A-listers and the B-listers. Too tough for me. They'll get their invites 6 months in advance, should be long enough to take off.

Back to you, if it's just a few overlappers, send'im out (the A-listers). A few people can always think their's 'got lost in the mail', but like MsA2MrsA said, don't send any out to people your going to retract, messssed up to UNINVITE someone.

Save the Date Question?

I did not send to all my A listers.. most but not all. There are some in my gut I am on the fence of keeping on the alist so I refuse to send a Save the Date when I may not end up sending a invite with Alisters.. Family and closest freinds (esp OOT) should be first priority with Save the Dates.
