Ok so I know this topic has come up a million times but I am bringing it up again

I am getting married the June 29, 2013. It is the Saturday before 4th of July which is the Thursday after. When should I send out the save the dates? I feel like I am behind already!

I have not sent mine out either. I think the rule of thumb is at least 8 months before. :)

i would say anything between a year and 6 months before is fine. I've seen both ends of that done a lot. i did mine just under a year because i'm getting married in July and i happen to know a lot of my guests like to go away during the summer, so i didn't want them to book a vacation and then find out about my wedding after.

I'm in the same boat. I'm getting married July 5th. My mom has been hounding me about it, especially because it's the holiday weekend. We haven't even taken or engagement photos yet, which we will hopefully take next week, then I'm going to try to bang out STDs ASAP after that.

I had intentions of getting them out in a year but that so didn't happen. SO much easier said than done! I got them out at the 8 month mark.

ASAP. We did ours a year out. I would say definitely get them out by the holidays

My wedding is Oct 2013. I plan to send mines out around end of Jan or Feb so that makes it btwn 8-9 months ahead.

I got married at the end of June, and sent out the STD's in the middle of October.
