Save the date... when to mail???

Save the date... when to mail???

So my wedding is the first weekend in december but i have at leat 40 people on my guest list comming from London. All though they have all heard by now that im getting married i know that i should send them an official notification soon because they need to start making travel arrangements including plane tickets ASAP. So when should I send?

Also do I send the ones for in town guest at the same time or a couple of months later. im so confused HELP!

IMO since sone of your OOT are more out of country-ers I would send them theirs soon, then send the other ones out (to people in the US)maybe 6-7 months before HTH

I would say as soon as you can, considering they are international. I sent mine in Dec 2007 for my wedding in Sept 2008!

Send anywhere from 12-6 months from wed date. My wed is 8/8/08 and I am sending mine out this week.
Since your guests are from London, I would send at maybe the 8 month mark

My wedding is 9.19 and I sent out the first batch today!

I would send the londoners theirs ASAP!

I think you can send them to everyone 9-12 months in advance.

That gives the OOTs enough time to book flights, IMO.

My wedding is November 14th and I sent them out on Monday....people have already started receiving them

i would say send them out ASAP. The more advance notice your guests have, the better the chance that they will be able to make it. good luck!

Thanks everyone! I have them designed i guess i get a proof printed ASAP and hope to mail by 1st weekend in February. Just hope my family over seas doesnt call my family in brooklyn and say 'oh we got rachels save the date' then i'll have people cursing me about how they didnt get one and arent they invited. GOD this isnt going to get any easier is it??? lol
