when is everyone sending there save the dates out? is 1 year prior too much???
Im getting married 2/2010 and sending mine out around Nov/Dec of this year as more of an engagement announcement/save the date. I dont care if its early since Im using a magnet I figure people can keep it on their refrigerator and that way I dont have to worry about it while Im doing other things like dress shopping and favor hunting
I was trying to figure out the same thing, because i don't want to do it at the one year mark because i don't want them to get mixed with peoples holiday stuff. So i think i might send mine out this October before all the holiday stuff
We want to take our engagement pics in July, so we'll send them out around then. We don't have a lot of OOT people so that gives us plenty of time.
We are going to wait until next october...Somewhere around the one year mark...
I was going to send mine out soon. I know once school starts up again I won't have time to do as much wedding stuff. Mine are magnets so people can just put them on the fridge. We also have quite a few OOT guests that would need to book flights, so I figure the longer they know about it, the easier it is for them.

i used the magnets as part of my e-party favor and i'm sending the rest to my other guests probably a year before
We're planning for September 2010 and will do save-the-dates sometime in the spring of 2009.
Everyone is telling me to send them out a year in advance. I ordered them and save them already and I want to send them out now!! Problem is, most people dont have a 2010 calendar yet to mark the date down on!
I'm going to send mine out by next July. I definitely have to do them because my wedding is on a Thursday and I want to give people ample notice. By I've also heard that you should be careful who you give them to and only give them to people who you definitely HAVE to have and WANT at your wedding. Wouldn't want to give STD's to people on your B-list and then they don't end up making the cut! lol.
