How far in advance should you send your save the dates? TIA

we sent ours a year in advance because its a holiday weekend.

cool. Thanks Ladies! FH threw out the idea of sending STD's with our holiday cards but I wasn't sure if that was too early.

We just ordered them, and they should be in a week from know. So it will be about 7 months before.

I sent mine at about my 9-10 months mark.. I didn't want to send it to far that it would get lost or two close that the save that date and the invitation came back to back

they say between 9 and 11 months before...I'll send mine 9 months before
