Hi Girls, how far in advance should you send out save the dates? My date is 5/10/08 i wasn't going to send them out but my FMIL keeps telling me I should. Do you think it's to late? THANK YOU guys, as always........

We don't think it's late. You can send them in January and or even before January. Basically, The Save The Date lets your guests know to keep that date open for your very special day. It's reminder of when your wedding is going to be until they recieve the wedding invitation. I hope that we helped you out a little.

I sent mines 7 months before the wedding. Since it is on a Friday I wanted to give people notice in advance. You can send them out now without a problem.

I'm sending ours tomorrow and my wedding is the week before yours....I didn't want to wait once I got them....I love them soooo much!!! Can't wait to hear what everyone thinks....

We wanted to send out engagement announcements to our close friends and family...on the announcement we wrote at the bottom 'save the date to celebrate' with the date so thats giving people more than enough time to keep the date clear lol

i sent mine 11 months before bc i have a lot of out of towners... nick is from Ohio so i wanted to give everyone plenty of time to make arrangements
