Save the dates

Our wedding is October 4th and we are thinking about sending out save the date magnets. If we do, when should I order them and when do we send them out???

I think save the dates should be sent out 4-6 months prior to the wedding. Sooner to your guests that would have to travel internationally.

I didn't do them but if I did, I'd send them out 6 months before

I am just wondering, have you let them know when and where you wedding is? If so, how did you do it?

My FH's family is HUGE, He has 36 cousins alone and it's all word of mouth. We were at his cousin nancy's wedding friday night & every single person came up to us and asked us if we are ready, nervous etc? THey were like 'May is so close' And a few of the people were from out of town! They all knew when!

Our wedding is 10/25 and we sent out our STD's with our Holiday cards. Probably a little on the early side, but everybody loved them!!

My wedding is in Sept and I am planning to get them out by Valentine's Day - I ordered them back in Oct.
