Re: save the dates

I am getting married October and mine went out already. FH and I wanted to make sure that all of those coming from way OOT would be able to come out here. We have family that might have to save to travel here.

i think as soon as you book and have them then you shoud send them. especially to give OOT guests time to plan

The only thing about sending them to early is once you send them that is your guest list and things happen. My friend is telling me not to send them at all, she sent them a year in advance and by the wedding wasn't talking to several of the people she had sent them too. Most professionals recommend 6-7 months before the wedding. They say any earlier feels premature and is likely to be forgotten because your giving people too much information too soon. At least thats what my wedding bible and two of my other great books say.

I would wait until after the holidays at this point. Do you know how much mail gets lost in the mass of Holiday cards that flood into homes. Its liable to get mixed into the Christmas cards and brushed over or ignored.

We are sending ours after Xmas but they are ordered! We are only sending them to 'A listers'. The people that we KNOW will be invited and want there more then anything!
