Are STDs a must? Due to some changes my wedding budget has decreased significantly and I am trying to cut where I can. Does it look horrible if I don't mail out save the dates?

Nope.....I think its 100% okay to not send STD if they are no longer in your budget.

You do not have to send out Save the Dates. I sent them out because FH's family is all OOT as well as all our college friends and most of our home friends have moved out of the state. If you wanted to send them out to close family members, I would suggest you use vistaprint. I made postcards and paid a total of $22 for 100 of them. And it was more expensive because I used 3 photos which cost $3 each on the cards. If you make a postcard on vistaprint and leave it in the cart for a couple weeks, they will send you a reminder e-mail for 100 free postcards and all you will have to pay for is shipping and handling! STDs are not necessary at all so if they are not in your budget, def. cut them and save yourself the money
