save the dates

How far out are you sending them and who are you sending them to?
Should I send them to my entire guest list or close family/friends & out of town people?

I sent mine out early 11 months prior...I wish I just sent to close family and friends because there are a few I don't want to invite at this point and I already sent the save the date to.

LOL this is so funny and pretty much why I am not doing Save the Dates I don't want to give anyone that much advanced notification of my wedding since everyone keeps saying they're COMING I need some ppl to decline

To answer the original post I would probably do close friends/family but DEFINITELY out of town guests since work arrangements/flight arrangements have to be made.

Hoping to send them out early next week. I wish I hadn't told so many people about the wedding because now my guest list is way bigger than I want it to be. I'm pretty much sending them to everyone except for a few friends I'm iffy about.

I sent out our save the dates last month, with 11 months to go. Which might be early, like one of the other girls said, but I think as long you’re past the year mark it’s ok(otherwise people might get confused).

We didn’t send them to co-workers and a few other people that we were iffy about. We wanted to leave some wiggle room in case we needed to add or remove people from the list.

I just ordered mine (still working with the designer to make them perfect) and will be sending them out the last week of August.
We're getting married on a holiday weekend, so we wanted to send them out at the year mark.
Plus, people can start booking the hotel on 9/6, so we want them to have all of the info.

:)

Also, we're sending them to ABSOLUTES. I have some (even family) that I'm up in the air about and a year is a long time...a lot can happen. :)

We are going to send them out around the 1 year mark - so end of Nov/beginning of Dec. We are going to send to close friends/Family and OOT guests. We do not want to send to everyone (ie coworkers) because a year is still pretty far out and things change

Thanks ladies! I was thinking of sending them 10 months out but wasn't sure of the norm, so I feel better about it now. Definitely will send only to definites!

We are getting married next July and I'll be getting save the dates out this month. Invitations will go out Dec/Jan. But I'm having a destination wedding and want to give people lots of notice. We are sending them to everyone on our list.
