we stuffed, stamped, stickered, and labeled our save the dates tonight! (all while I'm recovering from having two wisdom teeth out yesterday. ) we dropped them in the mail this evening!
it's real now!!!
also, for those of you needing supplies like labels ... FH came in handy today! i had no idea staples price matched ... so he had found the labels we needed both for the addresses and for our wedding logo seals cheaper at walmart.com and target.com. Staples price matched both, which saved us over $6 on each. Then I also had a 10% off coupon (if you sign up for the staples mailing list, they always send email coupons!) and Avery is currently running a $5 mail in rebate promo ... so I basically got something like 600 labels for $4.

Congrats! Keep looking for those deals, they really help. FH found 55% off 1 item coupon at AC Moore, he printed 2 and we each bought a 50pk of invitations with rsvps with envelopes for both for just under $15 each. 100 invites, < $30 = terrific savings.

Good stuff! How long did it take you to do it? I fell into a trance after awhile haha. I used a stamp that said 'save this date' on the back of the envelopes so I had to wait for them to dry, which tacked on another hour.

it took us about 2.5 hours in total. we only sent out about 85 of them ... our guest list is around 170.

Also -- Staples prices in the store are MUCH higher than their prices online.. always chck their online prices before buying anything. We had to buy toner and we saw they were $40 each online, we got there and the price sticker said $85! They price matched their website to $40
