Save the Dates...am I too late?

My wedding is at the end of june 2011 and my save the dates wont go out until mid october... only 8 months before...am i too late or is it still acceptable?

How many months before the wedding did you girls send yours out?

I think it's fine too... the whole point is to make sure people know when your wedding is so they don't schedule anything else... that way you'll get to people before they're booked

I don't think that's too late. I'm probably not going to send them out till like November, just because I have no idea what the deal is now...where it's going to be, who's going to be invited, etc. so I'm totally not ready yet. My best friend sent hers 6 months before, and I thought that was totally fine.

No... our friends are a month before you and we just got their STD in the mail today... my cousin is the beginning of May and she hasnt sent hers out..

I think the majority of people send them out from a year to 9 months...

I'm sending mine out within the next month and I'm getting married in May (holiday weekend) - So I think thats perfectly acceptable and chances are you've already told the people closest to you - so hopefully some of the word has spread

Ps. If you need a designer I have an excellent reccomendation!!! She was awesome and super affordable!! We needed to coordinate with a magnet website and she's taking care of all the details!! I told her what I wanted and she worked on three drafts and delivered perfection!!!
