Saving and the little things

What 'little things' are you doing to save/cutback on wedding expenses

Re: Saving and the little things

i'm 'trying' to not go to starbucks as much, attempting to bring lunch most days of the week. FH and i started going out to dinner less and i also direct deposit every week to our wedding account because if its in my hand i'll spend it

Ummmm we opened a joint checking account and put away 600 a month each from our paychecks....I also let my pedicure last much longer!

i've been brown bagging it to work mostly. i stopped 'emotional shopping' and now just window shop or only buy clothes and shoes when i need it. we also go on cheap dates like walks in the park and street festivals. and that's about it for now.

I stopped clothing shopping (which I love) and we try to stay home as much as possible. Were not taking a week vacation like last year, just a weekend getaway instead

stopped impulse buying. although it doesn't look like i'm really saving anything by doing this lol.

plus, it only makes me crave gonig out to buy something more such as jeans or shoes

No more eating out at restaurants. If neither of us wants to cook we strictly do take out....no more appetizers (this works two-fold as we don't eat more and we don't spend more). And when I go food shopping I only buy the sales now. Refuse to buy anything full-price. Thinking of getting the sunday newspaper so I can start clipping coupons. Plus I'm looking to get a 2nd job to bring more income in.

i took of my fake nails.. and pedicures less often (used to go every other week)
and i have been eating lean cuisines for lunch instead of buying food everyday.. healthy and cheaper!

I've definately laid back on the shopping - in fact, I'm waiting for Visa to call me to see if I am still alive - also - I don't drive around like I used to - gas is killing me.

i used to get made fun of b/c i clipped coupons....at 28 years old . however it is VERY time consuming and sometimes makes you buy more or different things than you thought you would b/c you feel it's cheap. But all in all, it's worth it haha
