So I was just wondering where everyone is cutting a couple of corners financially while paying for the wedding???? I am spending a little more than I wanted to for the reception hall and am wondering where I can cut back some!!! Thanks for any advice.

We save alot of money by cutting down on going out to eat or drink. If we go out to a resturaunt...we share our dishes and get an appetizer. Other then getting two meals and an appetizer. We usually end up taking half of our food home anyway and storing in the fridge to just throw out three days later. Also bringing your lunch to work rather then ordering out saves a lot too! Plus we really like making new things for dinner. We have been getting creative! We even used a crockpot a few times haha. We go for walks on the beach, I usually find out whats going on in our area through the chamber of commerce website. You can go to street fairs, festivals, they just had a music festival all for free!! Instead of going out to bars,clubs and eating with friends. We invite them over our apartment and have them each bring something. I hope this helps a little bit. Its mostly obvious. Oh and shopping at target for clothes isnt so bad after all, I went from shopping at guess and abercrombie to target which was highly recommended by many of my friends...I never knew they actually have some really nice stuff there!!! We haven't started cutting corners yet...but we do little things like eat at home rather than going out...and we each are taking a lil bit out each week to throw into a separate bank account for 'us'

The eatting out is a big thing. We've cut it down a lot. And it's healthier for you too. Also, we stopped buying new movies and started renting. LOL

Eating out is something that FH and I decided just this past weekend that we are going to cut down on. Usually we go out to eat Friday and most of the time Saturday nights. We're going to try and cut that down to only one night (with that one night being something relatively cheap like pizza). It should help. I'm also trying to cut back on buying things for myself, it's hard but I'm trying!

FH and I definitely eat out less we're cooking more and instead of Going out to the bar we make a visit to BJ's and get beer and invite friends over they bring other stuff such as wine and fruits to make pretty drinks for the girls.
we are on a tight budget

Yeah, wasn't working this weekend!!! We took an empty, clean soda bottle and we've been putting cash into everyweek. The soda bottle works well because the only way you can get the $$ out is if you cut the bottle. We have a lot of credit cards to pay off as well as student loans, so it's tough because a lot of our extra $$ goes to paying down those debts... we cut out date nights where we're spending an arm and a leg. We also cut out unneccessary expenses like Netflix. Thankfully, we both have our parents who are very helpful when we need them to be. We're sweatin' out, but we'll make it work.
