So FH thinks I have reached a new low in trying to save money. We were at Roosevelt Field mall on Friday night and they were giving out Vera Bradley note pad holders to promote the new store. You can put them by the phone for messages or use on your desk. I thought they were so cute and ran around the mall looking for the promoters. I collected NINE of them, actaully i got seven and made FH get two. I want to get my BM nice gifts, but am broke. I started shoping for the gifts now so I can afford nice things and I figured these are nice to throw in with the other gifts I want to get. Do you think I was going crazy trying to save money or being thrifty?

I think it was smart too. As everyone on here knows wedding are EXPENSIVE, and I need to find ways to save money. Plus it will be a funny story to tell my girls later on. They know me and will laugh once I tell them.

lol, do whatever works!
I was baking carrot cake on sunday and realized we had no cinnamon. FH and I hatched a master plan to go to Starbucks and get some for free so we didn't have to buy a 5 dollar bottle.
LOL I got too nervous (I didn't want people in our new town to think we were cheap) so I just went and bought a bottle.
Then on Monday my coworker comes to work with a HUUUGE economy size bottle of cinnamon from costco to split (we put it in our coffee).
I think it's funny when FH and I try to be thrifty because we are so bad at it.

I love TD pens, they write so well. The branch near my job knows me now cuz everytime I go in there I take like five. They thinks its funny. I have no shame.
