A poll: How much money do you and FH combined save per month for the wedding?
You don't have to answer in the post, I just wanted to see if what FH & I save are average saver or below or more. It just seems like never enough and I feel like we save a lot between the two of us!

Re: Savings
FH is currently out of work. I have 15% of my paycheck going into various wedding accounts.

Re: Savings
We are saving about $2000 a month combined but the savings account isnt growing that much since I need to send the hall a check for $1000 every month and then the deposits on everything else.

Re: Savings
We're currently saving about 2000 a month. We keep a running tally of all the money we saved and then how much goes out for deposits and other expenses. We have a goal that we should reach in about 10 months, then everything ontop of that will go towards a downpayment on a house.

Re: Savings
We save $2600 a month.
This is just for savings! Not for the payments we make now. We also make a $1000 payment a month to the hall. We are able to do this because we currently live with parents and don't have to pay rent.

Re: Savings
Now that we have a mortgage, very little. But thankfully we had already saved all the $ we will need for the wedding costs last year.

Re: Savings
We don't have a specific wedding account. We just have our regular savings, checking, etc and all the payments come out of there.

Re: Savings
I myself save $1,200 a month. FH makes more money than me and is able to save some more.

Re: Savings
I guess we're really fortunate since my parents are paying for everything. We are saving towards furniture for our new home, and the down payment for the home

OMG, I feel like I belong on welfare. I hardly even TAKE HOME what you guys are saving!!! Being a Social Worker doesnt really pay much, and Im lucky after I pay rent, loan, car etc, that I have food $$ left over.
I save about 800 a month or so for the past three months.

Re: Savings
You should add another figure - As much as humanly possible!!! Cause that is what we are doing. Every extra dime, penny, whatever it all goes towards the big day!!
