after much research and debate FH and i FINALLY set up a wedding savings account with HSBC direct. Today (which is exactly 18 months till the big day) i made my first deposit.
ugh.. a little stressful but at least all of the money will be in one place earning some type of interest.

Re: Savings
We put all of the money we received from our e-party into an Etrade account. The interest rates right now are absolutely pathetic.

Re: Savings
Congrats!!! we did that when we 1st got engaged... it will make it easier to keep in budget when you see the $ you actually have ( or in our case don't)

Re: Savings
Congrats on opening the account. I agree that it is a great idea. Besides the fact that you earn a small amount of interest, its a great way to see exactly what payments you have made and it makes it easier to keep track.
