Saw American Wedding...but question...(for those who already have seen it)

I thought it was a very funny movie, I laughed from beginning to end.

I thought that the wedding was really beautiful itself...you know. I am in LOVE with that hotel by the water. Does anyone know where that is?

My husband said that he stayed there. I'll find out where it is...I thought he said Half Moon Bay, San Francisco.

I think the movie was supposed to be based in Michigan - not that it was necessarily filmed there, but that hotel was gorgeous!!!
Those views must be incredible!!!

That was actually really stupid of me to assume that the wedding location was in Jim's home state of Michigan..lol. Are we sure today is Monday and not Friday??

not stupid! the same thing happened to me - ever see 'Message in a Bottle'? Worst movie ever made but the location set was BEAUTIFUL! Right on the water with rocks, and gorgeous coastline. It was supposed to take place in the Outer Banks so once I saw that movie I HAD to go there! Then I did a bit more research and learned the film was shot on location in Maine! LOL Oh well....it was still gorgeous.

lol, I frequently get lost in movie land. I think it's real..lol I see them all get in there cars at Jim's parents house, drive up a mountain and assume it is a couple hours drive away..lol Sometimes I need to be snapped back into reality!
