Event Planner Coordinator (entry level, wedding)

You will engage in all the preparation of creating a successful wedding ceremony as well as day-of management of said event.

We’re looking for somebody to assist in coordinating a small wedding event (less than 100 guests) ON DATE: May 28, 2010. Most of the larger details are completed such as venue, music, photography etc.

HOWEVER this will require time as, we need somebody to do intensive leg work in terms of phone calls and liason with vendors.

This is a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in being an Event Planner and/or business owner or manager. This is a PAID job: approx $250

You will also be compensated with excellent referrals if successful, and photographs of the event for your professional portfolio.

I think it's funny because I wish I would have thought of posting something like this! That's soooooo much cheaper than getting an actual planner!

Also, would anyone really work for $250 to be the 'coordinator' of all the vendors? That seems like a lot of work for $250.


Or maybe I'm just misreading it at from now until May 28th you are the 'coordinator' of all their vendors.

Yeah but it's $250 straight up. No taxes, off-the-books it seems. Nothing to report if you choose not to.

Some DOCs offer their services at $300 rates if they're trying to get themselves started or if they have last-minute specials, so it seems about right to me, since this is only a few weeks away.

I might take the day off and do it!!

hahaha might be good practice to get everything in order for my wedding day!! I've planned a number of weddings pro-bono for friends and even helped a former co-worker, might as well get paid and put the cash money towards my wedding fund!

Good find and great idea for anyone needing a DOC but shes only offering $250 for the entire preparation and planning for a month and half of services + Day of coordinator, which seems like a lot of work for time invested and compensation (granted a lot of the major details are taken care of ) so it might be fair... hmm...

I would sooo do this! But I am busy with my own wedding! But I like it I don't find anything wrong with this at all
