say yes to the dress-not today
hey girls, i just wanted to let you all in on my day today.
im sure most of you know that i went to kleinfeld with my mom and fmil. omg so the second i walked in i wanted to cry! i loved it!
i must have tryed on 20 dresses, and i didnt find the one. i liked a lot, but i didnt get emotional over any
im definitely not taht upset, i have SOOO much time (entertainment is next on the list)
so when we first met my bridal attendent kesha (wrong spelling), she was on the show 'say yes to the dress', total sweetheart, we gave her my budget. i told her 3000, which was under the real limit of 5000. i said lower b/c i know they have a 570 flat fee for basic alterations (which does not include any changes) i was also figuring tax and bussel, so tahts prob 1000 all together. but anyway every dress we grabbed was OVER 3000. haha
the last one i tried was a lazaro, soooo gorgeous, but it was 5700 plus everything else, so im figuring 7000???? i dont think im off by much, there were also a few things i wanted to change about it.
my mom wanted me to go for it, my parents are paying, but i felt guilty. i rather have them get a cheaper dress and add in a subzero fridge when we get our house, i mean i dont think im off here. 7000 for one night is a lot to me, i just would feel right. and there is no guarantee that my daughter or grandaughter would ever wear it....?
it was a mermaid gown, ivory, italian lace, so it is a timeless classic dress, but i think i may stick with jim hjelm, or go cheaper.
lunch was great at dos caminos, and we skipped out on the movie, we were all tired!
ohh, i almost forgot, we stopped at macys and i tried on dresses tere too. i found a demetrios for wayyyyy under the budget and it looks like a jim hjelm, and the alterations are MUCH cheaper. i think ill still try on the jim hjelm and decide from there. i rather get a less expensive dress and go for a 700 pair of manolos! im a shoe gal!
sorry for the long post
