Saying Hello-And a question

Saying Hello-And a question

I just joined and just wanted to say hi. I have been lurking for a while since work blocks a lot of stuff.

But I have a shower question. The fact is people cant keep a secret and I know its this Sunday, but the Maid of honor does not know I know. I dont want to spoil it for her !

my 2 questions are:

1. I am meeting my sister in law for 'lunch' this Sunday. we are going to 'finalize' plans for 'lunch' at the end of the week.

So I want to look cute for my shower, but if we are just going for 'lunch' I would wear shorts or something. What do I do?

2. I was planning on acting sorta surprised when they surprise me. Then I can always say I had a few hints that it was probably today so as not to hurt my maid of honors feelings.

Does that sound good? I can be vague, but still act sorta surprised.

Thank you ladies.

I think you can dress up a little bit. . my guess if that she will pretend you are going to a fancy lunch or something so you can dress nicely. . also you can always say you knew but you had no idea what it was. .like 'I can't believe you did all this. . I totally thought we'd do something in someone's livingroom or something'

I think the surprise is an added bonus but the work and all is what's so sweet .

I say wear a cute skirt with ballet flats or something - it's not shorts and not super fancy - so you won't give it away.

I know about mine too. But to be honest I think it's going to be overwhelming in itself walking and seeing everyone that of course you won't be surprised but it will still be a shock.

I would wear a sundress or like a peasant skirt and tank top...casual, but a little nicer than jeans. I'd wear that for a weekend anyways some time. Normally I don't like to give false pretenses, but if you haven't discussed the shower with anyone in detail or had any part in planning it, I would put up the surprised front.
