saying no to bringing a friend

One of my aunts called today and says that my cousin's friend really wants to come to the wedding and she's been to all my other family weddings and can she come along with the three that were invited. i don't want any more ppl than i invited b/c it's a lot pp, plus i trimmed the list so much that i'm not inviting many friends, coworkers, even extended family.

give me a few pointers on how to say no way Jose. plus my cousin is in the BP so is her friend going to hang out all those hours for pics and all?? ppl are annoying

Apologize and say that you already have a good amount of people you had to cut off your list b/c of numbers and cost and you just cant do it~say as it is Im already at my max for the room

Yeah just tell them you already reached your limit at the RH. God people really can be so annoying. Its not a fricken club party, its a wedding!

Just tell them that you are already at your max, and that there is no way that your RH will allow you to add more people.

yeah, totally going to say no. I luv my cuz and all and I know she's young so she may be a little slow on these things but she's been on a two month vacation and is coming back three days before the wedding, missing my shower and bach, was late ordering her dress, and she's gonna bring a girlfriend to the wedding when she's in the bach party. this ain't a buffet, B!

they're also staying at the garden city hotel with us and so we'll be taking care of breakfast so it's an xtra $30+ pp the next day too.

like i said, maybe i'll chalk it up to being young and and i luv her like a little sis but it's time to and say there's no room

Just say you are at your max, you are really sorry! She should understand since she knows how expensive weddings are and that people cannot invite the world b/c they just cannot afford it.(at least most people- not those platinum wedding people!)

i would say no unless the friend she wants to bring is more than a 'friend' KWIM? its kind of weird to me that this 'friend' attends all the parties with her - unless they are young (like 12-16) and she is an only child??? under those circumstances then i could see how going to family parties could be boring and lonely and i would want to bring a friend too....i have one cousin is an only child and sometimes she brings her friend to parties (not weddings, but parties at the house and stuff) because she is the youngest out of all the cousins and she doesnt really have anyone to stay with, she is about 12 - otherwise she would hang with my 17 year old sister but my sis lives in florida now with my parents but for a wedding, her bringing a friend is an added expense for you!

i think thats perfect - if you cant invite every single one of your own friends how is it okay to invite someone elses?

If its her best friend, i can understand her wanting to come and would be flattered but tell them you just cant do it...your're not doing it to be mean but you hit your max! thats it, no more to explain. If you want you can also tell your aunt how you had to cut a lot of your friends out!

Tell them that you unfortunately reached your max and your RH won't let you add any more guest because of safety reasons.

I really hate when people starting asking to bring additional guest that aren't their significant others and crap
