Has anyone had or been to a wedding in the sayville congregational church? I am having a very hard time finding a nice church that doesnt require precana or classes. Thanks!

Re: Sayville Church
I believe St. Ann's in Sayville doesn't require pre cana. I am getting married in St. Lawrence and truthfully pre cana wasn't bad. We had 3 classes at the our pre cana couples house and 2 classes in church (regular mass). It was easy and they really worked around our schedule. We actually missed two classes once they asked us to stay a 1/2 hour late and the last class they didn't care that we missed because it was my shower.

My FH doesnt want to take any classes and I really dont want to push it. This is the only thing that he really has an opinion on so I need to find somewhere nice that doesnt have any requirements.

honestly, the classes are really not that bad. if anything, most couples find it very beneficial to talk through the important things they will face as a married couple. DH and I found meeting other young couples fun as they were going through the same thing.
if you or him are Catholic, unfortunately, you may not get married in a Catholic church without Pre-cana. So, if the Sacrament is important to you (or him) you will need do it. otherwise, you will have to get married in a Protestant church, which it looks like that is what you are looking into.
