scam???

Last week i went to the bridal expo at the Marriot and ented a drawing for a hotel stay (marriott or renasaince), compliments of a photographer at David's Bridal. THey called me up and told me that I won a 2 night stay (excluding transportation-- but some are driving distances), however I need to sit down and talk to the photographer. They told me I am not obligated to purchase anything from the photographers.

I was wondering if any one else heard from this. I dont know if this is a scam or the real deal. I have an apointment tonight to pick up the prize and meet with the photographer. THanks

I dont see no harm in meeting with them, they will probably try to get your business, just say no and take your trip!!

I agree, this is their way of trying to get your business. Kinda like when they give you a cruise and try to sell you a timeshare. You get the cruise but have no obligation to purchase the share. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

i was at the expo and didnt get that call.
i did get an email that's similar to that but it was formatted wierd so i just deleted it.

i would suggest talking to them, i mean what harm is there as long as you don't sign anything right?

I won this too at a Bridal Expo. By the time they called me, I had already booked a photographer. The guy seemed angry, and said 'you shouldn't have won this, then'. I told him that at the time, I didn't have a photog. and what he was saying was illegal. He told me, well just come pick up the voucher then. It's just for a timeshare anyway. I never ended up picking up the voucher for the 2 night stay.

went tonight, seems like its a scam to get you in and hear them talk about their packaged.
I have the vacation form, but I dont know if to trust it. seems to be very involved. it def was not worth my time to go and sit thru it all (and by sit, i mean on the floor till he finished with a previous couple)
