I attended a bridal showcase last week and I received a call today saying that my name was picked from the raffle and I will receive either 2 free his/her wedding bands or 3 days/2 nights free at a resort of my choice from over 20 different locations to pick from. Plus 1,000 in coupons and 50% off many different restaurants, stores and travel rental cars, airfare and many other places. All i have to do is attend an hour seminar at a hotel in woodbury where they introduce their products they are selling and fill out a survey about it. No money obligation at all they say. Is this a scam?? Has anyone else got the same phone call or attended anything like this???

Re: scam?????
We got the same phone call also a few months ago. We went to the seminar and they didn't ask for any money and the survey was all of 10 questions, more time consuming sitting there. We didn't buy anything and still got the stuff. The trip is good for almost 2 years so we have no used that yet and you can register for the coupon thing at any time so have yet to use that either since we live separate still. So, I can't speak for the quality for any of it yet.

I got a call about that when I was 1st engaged. I fell like its all a load of crap! lol.. I feel like when it comes time to use any of the things they offered, you will end up paying a ton of fees or hidden costs. At least they're not making you pay anything upfront.

I totally fell for this. Yes you get the coupons but you do pay when you send away for the card. You show up and they make you sit through a presentation about pots and pans for 3 hours and then the trip can't even be taken on a weekend!! Save yourself!

This! We were like, sounds too good to be true. And they were calling nonstop. That in itself made us believe it was a scam!

Re: scam?????
Girls this has been going on for years. I even received the same call when I remarried in 1997. Out of curiosity I went to the presentation too and found it to be a waste of precious time. I even had a jeweler come to the house to try to sell us wedding rings and when I told him he had nothing that I liked he made me laugh when he said 'well you can always get your diamonds later on, no one gets them when they first get married'! With that I just told him I'm 42 and this is my second marriage I want my diamonds now and told him to leave. Moral of the story save yourself some time and don't bother attending any of these. JMO! Good luck girls.

I go by the saying, 'if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is'. I'd be careful.
