Scanner recomendations?

I want to buy one to scan my wedding proofs and order copies on shutterfly. An 11x14 of a proof through my photographer is $98! It's $8 through shutterfly! Is it worth t to buy a scanner?

Yes, I scanned in my whole album....totally worth it.

I like Epson, the pro series....I cannot remember the exact name right now, but it comes with the negative adapter & has up to 7800dpi resolution capability. It was around $100 at christmastime

I have an Epson too - an Epson Perfection. I'm not sure of the model number, but it wasn't more than $200. I ordered it online somewhere. It's great!

I think the cheapest I saw it was at Best Buy

I love my scanner, its a hpscanjet 3970. We got it from my sister for Hanukkah

I scanned some of mine, but the quality was not so good. Can your photographer give you a CD of the proofs? I begged and mine (Duet) did, and the copies from shutterfly and snapfish came out sooo much better than the scanned ones. Plus scanning takes soo long. Good luck!

That's what I would be nervous of. Scanning and they aren't clear. I will call them.
