How do I scan a document? Like if I have a documnet, not a photo that I want to scan and email to someone. What software do I use, etc? I just got my all in one, well a few months ago, but I've never done this and I have no clue how to do it

You would scan like a picture, except you pick 'text' and save it to your computer then you can email it as an attachment. Is it an HP all in one? If so, that's what I have...let me know if you have other q's.

it's an HP all in one. I don't realy even know how to scan a piocture. I only did it once or twice using photoshop elements. I don't know the standard way to scan. Can you give me a step-by-step?

Yes...this is step by step. But from memory though because I'm at work. Have you tried reading the manual? It's pretty simple.
1. Turn computer on...turn printer on...
2. You could either press the 'scan' button on top of the printer or...(my buttons don't work because my computer is old so I do it manually)...
3. Go to 'start', 'settings', 'printers, scanners, faxes'
4. Click on the HP all in one
5. Go to file and select 'get image from device'
6. Click on 'next' and then 'text' and then 'preview
