Who is scared of going to their first fitting meaning they are scared they have gained weight?
I am totally terrified that i have gained weight and kind of scared of trying on my dress.

Mine is on Thursday, and I definitely feel like I have put on a few pounds over the past week or two. eek!!! Very scared.

Im scared that i lost so much weight. i bought my dress as a size 19 and now im a size 13 (thanks to biggest loser cardiomax dvd and powersculpt lol). So now i think my dress is going to be so baggy.

I lost weight, and had my dress made which took 9 months, and when I got there, it didn't fit. Not much to be done but lose more weight . . . it's silk and shouldn't be taken out. Honestly, it fits everywhere but the bust, and the measurements on the original sheet are correct, so it was just made too small.
I am 10 lbs. lighter than when i ordered it, but I guess i have to lose some more!!!
I love my dress, but I'm a bit perturbed it was made too small. What can you do? I don't want them ruining the silk by taking it out, so I'm going to suck it up and starve for five weeks, or suck it up with a corset!!!

I totally am with you. I was really heavy last year when I got engaged and lost 40 lbs pretty quickly but for the past two months I've been only losing very small amounts (yet still wanted to be down another 15 lbs) so I am stressing about the dress coming in and my not being where I wanted to be....but I think I need to just focus on how happy I am and that I look better now than I did. We can be so hard on ourselves. Grrrr.

I am terrified! I went to the gym, and i felt like i had lost weight. Since Feb, I got a new position my schedule doesn't allow me to go to the gym. I get home late, make dinner, eat, and basically fall asleep. And on the weekends, I am just too busy. And I am so scared that it won't fit. I'm so scared, I basically want to cry everyday!

I know I haven't gained weight b/c I ordered my dress right before Christmas..around holiday time I was definitely a bit thicker.
I am scared though because my dress is a mermaid shape and I'm afraid it will come in and I will regret not sticking with a ballgown..if I had a ballgown I wouldn't be stressing at all!
I've been going to the gym about 2-3x a week since January, at this point though, beginning 2 weeks ago I started going 4-5 days a week and watching what I'm eating.
My dress comes in at the end of July-so I have slightly more than 12 weeks till I put it on again...so ladies it is ON until October 4th.
And on that note, I'm headed out for an hour and a half spin/sculpt class. See you later!
This is how i feel. the shape of my dress is so unforgiving so i just wanted to slim the hips down as much as i could.... my fitting is on Sunday. I've been going to the gym 4-5 days a week since mid jan and have def lost weight and just feel better about my body overall. At least I know i did what i could and didnt sit around and just complain about how fat i felt when i knew i had all this time to DO something about it. that makes me feel better lol. But i keep looking back on that big poofy Maggie dress with the corset back and wishing I had a dress like that so i didnt have to worry about it!

Me too! I am soo worried that the dress won't fit because I am now 5lbs heavier. Also, they ordered the size dress based on what size I normally wear so I'm terrified. I'll find out next month (my dress came in but I still don't have my undergarments and I am waiting for my shoes to arrive). Guys have it so easy by ordering their Tuxes a couple of months ahead.

I am afraid that its going to be too big and look completely ridiculous. My goal was to lose weight but since my fitting last year, ive lost 47lbs. Of course i am glad but i dont want to look like baggin saggin bride.

Me!!! My first fitting is on Saturday and I haven't tried my dress on in a year and a half! ahhhhhh!

I was slightly uneasy about trying on my dress for the first time, but as soon as I slipped into it, it fit like a glove!!! They still want to take it in a little bit more because the back is laced and it gives a nicer effect if the lace is spaced apart more.
Anyway, I am sure your dress will fit you!!! As soon as I figure out how to take the pics from my camera and put them on the computer, I will post me in my dress (it's a new camera).
