scary

I'm late this month, only a day but considering I'm on the pill, this NEVER happens. I'm like clockwork, down to the same hour every month.

There were a few days this month where I forgot my pill and took it much later than normal, but I figured I was still safe.

For the last few hours, all I could think about was 'what if I'm pregnant'? And I found I wasn't as excited as I thought I would be. I just kept thinking about the bad timing, how we're not ready - I wasnt more 'us' time and more vacations and to be back in NY! and the funniest - how I won't be able to enjoy the fine Italian wines on our vacation this week!

So can you tell I'm totally not ready for a baby? Fortunately, I don't have to be. Breathing huge sigh of relief...

So many things could delay AF. It could be stress,change of season or forgetting to take one or two pills. I would wait a week and see if it shows.
My cycle has been crazy.Sometimes its a week early,sometimes a week late.

oh, it already has - thats why I was relieved at the end of my post. I guess I wasn't clear.

are you on BCP? My cycle is never off when on I'm BCP.

Oh, I didn't even realize. Thats what happens when I read too fast. I'm glad you are ok since you aren't ready for that yet.
I used to take bcp's since I am very irregular.
I stopped taking them and my cycles went back to the way they always used to be. I can range anywhere from 24 days-35 days. Its crazy.

Lisa - It should be the most amazing thing to find out you are prego. Most of the time even if it is something you are SOOOO ready for its scary and you wonder if its the right time.

It will happen when you are ready.. TG for BCP's now though!!!!

Lisa - that is exactly what happened to me a few mths back - it is scary! Then I realized how much I enjoy taking trips with DH, deciding on a whim to drive upstate for the weekend, etc. and yes, even enjoying my occasional glass of wine

I'm sure though you'd surprise yourself if the outcome was different - but it would be nice to know it happens when you REALLY want it and plan for it

Lisa, as much as my sense of readiness has come over me, as soon as I threw the BCP in the garbage the nervousness came over me, like I was on a road I could not turn back on Good for you, now you can drink all the wine you want

I don't think it will ever be not scary...at least for me...for the same reasons you and teri mentioned...

but I imagine that if it did happen soon...I'd be excited...scared...but excited

It's very scary, no matter what. I'm scared to death!

I think this is a Congrats time for you. If you don't want a baby yet, then I am glad that you are not having one. Just make sure to take that pill everyday
