do you ever get worried that your 'beliefs' (or religion) is...WRONG?
Sometimes I get this panicky thought like 'what if I'm praying or believing in the wrong faith...what happens then?'

Yes that is why I don't have a 'religion' anymore. Just be a good person and you should be fine

I jut believe you need to be good to yourself and more importantly others. Always be kind and accept others for who they are. Never judge.
I am Cathloic and DH is Jewish. I NEVER think he's wrong and I'm right or vice versa. I don't think you need to go to church or temple to go to heaven and be a good person. It is all in how you live your life and treat others.
JMHO.
PS- Just had to add- I NEVER go to church- at least since I was in my teens!

I am christian, but i consider myself non-denominational christian. I have my beliefs, but I also know that they may not be correct, they're beliefs, not a fact. I think that if you're, in general, a good person, then you have nothing to worry about

Couldn't have said it better myself. I did worry about this about 8 years ago. Now I don't identify with any institutional religion - view them all as exclusive, not inclusive. I just try to do my best to be a good person - what god could punish that?

I am also in the 'no religion' group but with beliefs - the belief basically that everyone should try to be a good person, not because of some fear of going to hell, but because everyone deserves to be treated with respect. I believe that when you die, you die and that's it. Why does there need to be something more? Now i'm going off topic, sorry!

I have no religion. Growing up in the Bilble Belt and listening to the hell, fire and brimstone sermons made me come to the conclusion that what IS wrong is dividing people and pitting them against each other because their beliefs are different. I believe that the higher power (call it whatever you like) is a kind and forgiving force that is not owned by any one religion, but a part of all life.

This is an interesting question....I agree with Julz....I was raised Catholic all my life and have recently thought more about all this. This past Ash Wed. everyone was asking me why didnt I get ashes and why was I eating meat - and I felt a little uncomfortable being asked, but what I said was 'I believe more in the spirituality than in the 'rules'.

actually no i don't ever think that what i believe is wrong...i just don't question it at all...
if i start questioning it then yes i too would be worried which i guess is why i don't...but then again i wouldn't be worried that my faith was wrong and another was right... If i could question my own beliefs i could question any and that would leave me even more FREAKED

Re: Scary thought...with Poll
There was no poll option for my answer.
I believe that ALL religions are equally valid, as long as they promote postivity and love. I think in the end we're all worshipping the same god. But god has many facets. To some people, it's one man, in whose image we were all creaed, to some, it's a trinity, to some it's many many gods. I believe that god encompasses all of those things.

Ditto. DH & I do not practice any religion. We try to be the best people we can. I think religion causes too much conflict and division.

Re: Scary thought...with Poll
I learnt, after a lot of bit of soal searching, that religion and spirituality (belief in Gd) are two saperate things. I don't know if I can call myself a religious person (I'm not!) but definately believe in Gd and in being the best person I can be.
