We are getting married at Chateau Briand on 9/16/12 and we are so excited! We absolutely fell in love with the place and after much research found way more good reviews than bad! They've been amazing to us so far as well.
We will be staying at the Fox Hollow Inn the night before and day/night of the wedding. I know we can take pics at CB but I was wondering if anyone knew of a scenic park or something nearby to take pictures as well. We are seeing eachother before the ceremony so something close by and on the way would be great. We're going to see eachother first and then get the pics with the bridal party done beforehand so we can enjoy ALL of our wedding and not miss any taking pics.
We are from Westchester County so LI is unfamiliar territory to us so any ideas or feedback would be appreciated! Thank you so much in advance!

The Garden City Gazebo is not far from there...a friend of mine got married there and she took pics at the gazebo...they came really nice, and there is no fee to take pics there!

Eisenhower park is right around the corner from Chateau Briand...I am sure there are some scenic areas for photos...

i'm doing my ceremony and taking pictures at the Nassau Museum of Art in Rosyln. Its about 15 minutes or so from Chateau. Its beautiful!

I'm thinking about the same issue. I originally wanted Old westbury gardens but its a lot of $
Friends and photog have mentioned hempstead house and planting fields. Both look nice in pics....I'm just nervous about the distance
huge BP + getting ready = little time to drive to Guam

OWG... I know $400 just for the privilege of taking pics somewhere sounds crazy, but with the entire cost of the wedding, it is a small fee for the perfect backdrop for our wedding day pics. OWG is especially special to us since FH proposed there at the Temple of Love.

Go to there website. If it rains they let you take pictures indoors. Most gardens don't do this.

I'm not sure how much it is just to take pictures there. I'm doing my ceremony there and its $750 for the full use of the entire garden for 2 hours. It might be less if you are only using it for pictures. i can give you the grounds contact person name and email address if you are interested
