Would it be a big deal to put three scented votive candles on the tables? The scent is very faint, you can hardly smell them...what do u girls think?

I was requested by my hall not to use scented. They said it interferes and some ppl may not like it.

This is a good point too which needs to be taken into consideration even though the warm vanilla has a faint scent.

I love the way those candles smell. But it's usually not a good idea to have scented candles where people will be eating.

Re: Scented Votive Candles
The only reason I wouldn't is because I want to smell the flowers. I love scented candles, but I'm spending a lot of money on flowers and I wouldn't want to overpower them.

I wouldn't-you've already got the flowers and the food mixing, I wouldn't throw anything else into the mix...jmo.

I agree that even if it is faint the smell may mix with the food and flowers.

Re: Scented Votive Candles
Thanks girls...I respect and appreciate your opinions but I decided to purchase them...you really have to smell the candle in order to smell anything, I am sure people are even going to notice...we'll see what happens....I'll let you know how it turned out.
Thanks again

Re: Scented Votive Candles
I wouldn't recommend that..I went to a wedding where they had scented candles on the table (light vanilla) and there was a woman who got an asthma attack from the flowers & the candle smell (they had to call ambulance)....there were few people at my table who complained about the smell too (it was too much)....
I think the smell of fresh flowers is enough.....

I do too,as I am a big fan of scented candles, 'BUT' there are some people that can't take the smell even if it is light. Not to mention the smell of fresh flowers( if your using them)
