Previous brides, please help! How does this sound for scheduling? I am getting my hair done at 11am, my makeup at 11:30. Each vendor says it takes 30 min for each, approx. If the photographer comes at 12 to take pics of me getting in my dress, ready, etc, and then we have our first look at 12:30 and take all pics (we are seeing each other before) from 12:30 to 2:30. including bridal party and family formals, and all pics of us together. 2:30 we have a rehearsal and then 3 we have the ketubah signing, 3:30 is the actual ceremony. Does that sound right? I am not sure and have to tell all my vendors when to arrive!

Re: Scheduling
I know hair and make-up say they only take a 1/2 hour, but I would allow for more time. I might bump up the hair and make-up 1/2 to an hour. Maybe 10:30 and then 11:15? They are both coming to you?
ETA: I'd also allow for more time for getting ready photos- maybe another 1/2 hour.

Re: Scheduling
yeah. i think 2 hrs for pics is a bit tight. i think your rehearsal/ketubah timing with regards to the ceremony sound good but maybe have hair and make up start a bit earlier and i'm aiming to give 3 hrs to all the pics

Re: Scheduling
definitely budget more time for hair and makeup. i'd say at least 45mins for each. to be safe an hour for each.
for your pics make sure you go over in detail with your photog which shots you want in that 2 hr slot so no time is wasted.

hair - 10am makeup -11am
if they are done earlier, great. but at least you will have buffer room to RELAX and NOT GET SUPER STRESSEd that day!

Re: Scheduling
I had an hour and a half for hair and an hour for makeup.
I'd say at least an hour for before/getting ready pics.
Also what about travel time? Are you getting ready at the same place your reveal and ceremony are? If not, you have to factor in travel.

Re: Scheduling
I have same ceremony time and our photographer is coming at 12pm for pictures- no pictures of getting ready, he just said we'd need that time to get all the portraits done. I have booked hair/make-up yet (lol see previous thread), but I plan on starting much earlier. What if someone is running late?

Re: Scheduling
We are getting ready where the ceremony is, so no travel time. I have my bms getting hair and makeup also and they are scheduled for a little earlier than me.

Re: Scheduling
definitely allow for more time. Id do an hour each .. you have to give yourself time in case you dont like something they can fix it for you - otherwise you'll feel rushed - trust me - I just went through the same thing and I ended up only having an hour for pictures

Re: Scheduling
Definitely give yourself some extra time. One thing I regret doing is setting such a tight time schedule the day of my wedding. I was so stressed about being on time with everything and that's not how you want to feel the morning of your wedding. I would allow an hour and a half total for hair and makeup and 2 hours for pre-ceremony pics

Re: Scheduling
I would DEFINITELY give hair more then 30min! I don't see how it would only take 30 min for hair.
