Good Morning Board...here is our QOTD - and it's early! No complaining!


1. If you went to College, what was your major?

2. Are you now 'practicing' in that field?

3. What did you want to be when you were a little kid?

4. Are you doing what you thought you'd be doing?

1. I only went for one semester, had no major

1. I majored in English

2. No...I am an office manager for an accounting firm...I always sucked at numbers...ironic..huh?

3. I wanted to be a stay at home mom...like my mom... then a teacher

4. Not yet...I'm in grad school working towards my masters in elementary ed...

2. Yes, part-time I work as a licensed veterinary technician (full-time as an admin. assist.)

3. lawyer

4. It's mostly very rewarding, except when I put animals to sleep. I am mostly hardened to it, but some of them get to me.

Ohh!!!!
I could never work for a vet...I love animals too much...and as much as I would love to help them get better...putting them to sleep would make me crazy everyday...I'd be crying Niagra falls...

3. A bank teller - I was obsessed with the drive through drawer and the tubes that you put your transactions in and they sucked it in.

3. What did you want to be when you were a little kid? PEDIATRIC ONCOLOGIST!

4. Are you doing what you thought you'd be doing? No, but I LOVE my job... im an art teacher!

1. If you went to College, what was your major? majored in biology minored in psychology

2. Are you now 'practicing' in that field? I'm getting there. One more year left of med school and then onto residency, then I'll be done.

3. What did you want to be when you were a little kid? lets see many things (never a doctor ironically) I wanted to be a teacher for a long time and then a psychologist.

4. Are you doing what you thought you'd be doing? Yes, I'm in the process. Just need to pick a specialty now. (almost as much stress involved as planning a wedding!)

BELIEVE ME, I know how you feel! When they are old, sick and suffering, I tell myself that I am putting them out of their horrible pain and they will be in 'animal heaven' (YES, I believe they go to heaven too! Call me a dork...). But when they are just a 'nuisance' to the owner and they want them put down, it absolutely KILLS ME.

1. My major with Earth and Space Sciences.

2. I guess so, I'm an Earth Science teacher.

3. I wanted to be a veterinarian.

4. Nope. Wish I was though.

1. Early Elementary Ed/ Sociology

3. Teacher or Fashion Designer

4. I thought I would have graduated by now. Better late than never I guess.

I am a dork next to you then...bc I beleive in animal heaven as well... ...to me they are like people they only thing they are missing is a voice...

I can't beleive people actually put animals to sleep because they are a nuisance...I'd like to put them to sleep....

2. Are you now 'practicing' in that field? nope, I was for about 3 yrs, but have not for the past 2 yrs

3. What did you want to be when you were a little kid? I change my mind once a week! Laywer, teacher, etc.

4. Are you doing what you thought you'd be doing? Nope

4. Kind of - I knwe that I wanted to work with children.

1. I am still going to college to become a R.N.

2. No not yet, I am currently working for a great company in human resources.

3. I wanted to an Interior Decorator.

4. No, I wish!!! But I love being a mom.

4. Yeah...i figured i wouldnt make it...its to competitive! and i LOVE kids and teaching!

undergrad- religion
grad- education

Yes (I'm a teacher)

3. What did you want to be when you were a little kid?
I could never make up my mind. I never really wanted to leave school, and I guess I didn't.

4. Are you doing what you thought you'd be doing?
No...I'm still not sure what I want to be when I grow up.

4. Yes I am

1.Major- Nursing

2. Yes I am a registered nurse

3. I always wanted to be a mommy .

4. I will hopefully be starting at a different hospital soon, the I will be doing what I thought and loving it!

1) Psychology

2) Yes...FT School Psychologist & work part-time in an office practicing

3) Teacher/Lawyer/Doctor

4) ABSOLUTELY!

-I was an International Affairs major in undergrad. Working on my MA in National Security Studies now.

-I am using both degrees

-I wanted to be a zoologist, until I realized there was math involved.

-I'm doing what I though I wanted to do in HS. (What a dork!)
