Okay so I never really finished college. I have no college degree and it kind of worries me. IF i ever leave this job or am let go, Im so worried that if a place sees that I dont have a college degree they would not hire me or even think about it. Do you think it is too late to go back to school? Im 30 years old already.

Re: School?
its never too late to go back to school! it took me 7 years to finish school and thats with going full time at night and working full time during the day. my FH is 32 and he didnt go to school either and im trying to talk him into going back. even if you take 1-2 classes a semester, eventually you'll get it.

Re: School?
NEVER too LATE....Go back, you won't regret it.
I was 32 when I went back. I will be 34 on Saturday and I am graduating in December..
BTW I am the youngest in my class, everyone else is 37 - 50....
What do you want to major in?

Re: School?
no..... I've been taking classes since undergrad days, and I'm still going strong... and just turned 35. (I work at stony brook U and take grad classes too)
I will admit, however, I haven't come up for air (took random classes, entered grad program, got PhD, returned to taking random classes). If you haven't been a student for a while, you might want to first go to a good community college for a semester or 2 to regain your student skills (note taking, studying...)
I've taught upper level bio classes to people in their 50s and 60s.... it's never too late! And it would provide much more career stability....
hope this helps

I am in college and I am 24 and there are A LOT of older people, even older than 30 there. Just sign up for a class or two at Suffolk and see how it goes!

It is never too late to go back to school. So many people do it nowadays that it's become almost the norm to see older students in class. I also find that the older students do better because their motivation is different and they generally want to be there and have a goal.

It's never too late. If you are apprehensive about actual classes -- try getting an online degree through a college.

Re: School?
I don't think it is ever too late to go back to school. Have you completed any type of college coursework? Maybe you should think about starting out at a community college and see how it works out and then continue on for a bachelor's? What are thinking of majoring in?
