Re: school bus???

I've been to a wedding where the transportation was a school bus. It was in boston so I don't know the company. To be honest I though it was fine, it was a new school bus, wasn't dirty or anything. It wasn't the most comfortable ride i've ever had (we were sitting in the chair above the wheel) but we had a lot of fun remenising about days on the school bus and it was a short ride.

One thing though, her wedding was a beautiful day. Not sure if rain would be a prob with a school bus, leaky windows etc.

I don't see anything wrong with that

ive never done that for a wedding but i took a group of senior citizens on a trip on a school bus recently (about 20 minute ride) and they all complained about how bumpy the ride was. of course my seniors complain about everything. gotta love them.
hope that helps!

IMO i would just want to know everything about the specific bus I was getting. School buses are for kids and that usually meant the opposite of new and clean and nice. But as long as those things were in order, I think it's nice to provide any transportation for the guests. My guests will not be that lucky! I say if cave men could hunt for food, you can find a ride!

Re: school bus???

I was totally thinking of doing this haha. My dad is retired but could not stay home (he's a military man so he just doesn't do well doing nothing) so he got a part time job driving a small school bus for pre-schoolers. It is sooo cute and it is roomy. I was thinking of getting someone from his company that he drives for to do it for us. I don't know much but it all depends on the bus driver on how clean their bus is. My father is a NEAT FREAK so his bus is spotless! He literally cleans it daily and mops and uses clorox on everything! I would try to get a newer bus and make sure that it is clean prior to the day. Good luck! I think the idea is SuPeR cute!!!

OMG i just looked up pictures of weddings where the bride and groom used a school bus to transport them and their guests (seperately of course) to and from reception. It is adorable!!! Just google it and you get the most adorable pics! I am going to be a teacher so I think this idea is sooo damn cute!
