Anyone know how to get or where to get loans for school? FH and I were talking and agreed I can/will go back to school, but will need to do loans. Thanks!

The school you will go to has info. also your bank will have info too. Good luck. I have my student loans through teachers federal credit union. My dh has his through HSBC.
They'll send the info to your school, who will tell you how much aid you recieve. If you need more you can also go through a bank or other agency's

You should get school loans directly from the government- they have the best rates. Basically fill out a FAFSA online (that's the Free Application for Federal Student Aid).. you need your tax information (and anyone else's such as DH/Parents, etc) from the previous year- so if you are filing for this year then you'd just use 2003 tax information. The form is VERY easy and you find out rather quickly if you receive an award. If you get the loan through the government you'll find out if you are able to get subsidized loans (these are interest free while you are in school). I have Direct Loans (name of the gov't loan) for my MBA- i have a mixture of subsidized/unsubsidized- so it all depends on how much $$$ you make.
I actually just got info on this today from my school.. I am getting a federal loan... the rate is like 2.77 % ... pretty good.. your school should def have info though!

My DH just got a combination of FAFSA loans and private loans through Citibank. If you go to studentloan.com, you can fill out paperwork online to apply. Great rate too at 2.77%
Through NYU though, they sent our information directly to Citibank for the proper amount we would need to get him through school after the Gov't loans. You might want to see if your school automatically forwards as well.
