SCOTT AND CAR RESEARCHING PEOPLE......

can you post here or FM some info or links
that compare
the Nissan Pathfinder SE
the Nissan ARMANA
and the Toyota Sequoia(Sp?)

I like the look and the fact it is so big of the Toyota sequoia but I heard Nissan is better than toyota??
and the fact I used to have a pathfinder and it was great
but which one is SAFER? Has better ratings? etc......
Thanks so much!

Re: SCOTT AND CAR RESEARCHING PEOPLE......

Hi Tammy, we have been going to www.edmunds.com, its a great site and you can do almost anything car search wise, including comparing the different brands of cars.

We are torn between the Pathfinder SE and the Honda Pilot So I feel your pain! Right now we are leaning towards the Pilot. I like the Sequioa, but it was SO big I am afraid to drive it I think the Pathfinder is also less expensive-I know the Pilot and Pathfinder are around the same price.

Let me know what you decide, maybe it will help me finally pick one out!

Re: SCOTT AND CAR RESEARCHING PEOPLE......

Thanks
I probably will not get one for another year or two unless I win a jackpot! LOL
I know the pathfinder is a lot less money but the toyota is so big! and really nice but I know its a lot more money!
Ill check out edmunds

ETA: I never had a pilot but I had leased a pathfinder for 3.5 years and loved it! I never did anything repair wise but oil changes
I wish I had gotten another one when it was up

Re: SCOTT AND CAR RESEARCHING PEOPLE......

Im here....I see that you say that Nissan is better than Toyota...I would have to disagree with that. I think Toyota and Subaru are the top Japanese car Manufacturers, then comes Honda, and then comes Nissan.

Out of all those trucks I would go with the toyota, or the honda. I wouldnt get Nissan's new truck, the armada....because it is the first year and you have to wait a year or two for them to work the bugs out of it. That doesnt mean I dont like the truck, I do.

Let me see if I can find a site that compares the trucks, and that is easy to use.

I bet he cant wait for this summer when gas will be over $3.00.

I feel bad for the people that Have the Big gas gizzling SUV's...that is the one downfall of owning one....The gas mileage stinks, and the price to fill up a few times a week is just insane.

I know someone has a Ford Excursion on this board. I can only imagine how much it costs to fill that thing up each time....Has to be around $50

Re: SCOTT AND CAR RESEARCHING PEOPLE......

Tammy, I am glad to see that you liked the Pathfinder. DH went to test drive it and loved it. We are getting much more competitive pricing on the Nissan from the dealers than we were on the Honda-we have a friend of the family who sells Nissans and he claims thats b.c the Pilot is a newer SUV.
Scott, you are the new car master I told DH about all your good advice. Thanks to our chats, we are now in the market to finance, not lease. Needless to say, it is much more competitive in pricing. Since we both commute so far for work, buying makes more sense miles-wise. So thanks!

Re: SCOTT AND CAR RESEARCHING PEOPLE......

Tam, I just got the CR car buyers edition, and here's the goods on the trucks you like...

The Pathfinder is on the recommended list. It has excellent reliability, good driver satisfaction, and good depreciation. They don't have any data from government front crash tests, and it scored excellent on side crash tests.

The Armada was too new to be rated on reliability, satisfaction and depreciation, and had no crash test scores. It was not recommended by CR.

The Sequoia is also on the recommended list. It got rated very good in reliability, satisfaction and depreciation. It scored excellent on government front crash tests, and had no data on side crash tests. It scored 'Very Good' on the list of best cars for kids.

Hope that helps!

Tammy, are you looking for quality or room? I don't feel the Pathfinders are very spacious at all!
