Scrapboking Help!!

OK, so I am venturing into the wonderful world of scrapbooking. I need some help on places to go to get stuff. I went to Michaels yesterday and spent $150 on stuff. Of course DH yelled at me, but too bad, i need to occupy my time while unemployed. So my question is, are there places that are cheaper than Michaels at selling scrapbooking stuff? Thanks!!

Scrapbook.Com - they have things LM doesn't have with good prices also.

Scrapbook Patch in Miller Place

OddJob/Big Lots, Target and Walmart have scrapbooking sections. There's also an AC Moore in Happauge (or there abouts). They are similar to Michaels but a little nicer (IMO).

Watch for coupons too, and purchase on sale. Michael's coupons are usually in the weekend papers - Saturday or Sunday on LI. Wednesday's LI Newsday has coupons for AC Moore in the regular section of the paper (not a separate flyer, just a half page B&W) and today's has a 40% and a 50% off one item coupon.

Joann's has good coupons and some nice scrapping supplies too. Sign up on line and in the store and you'll get e-mail coupons and snail mail coupons.

And there is always E-Bay!

Thanks girls!! I found the Scrapbook cottage in Levittown today. Got lost for over an hour in there. This is so fun. DH lwas mad at how much I sppent yesterday, but when he saw the first page of the book that I did today, he is psyched for me to do more. I am so happy I found a hobby!!! I am going to check out all the places listed above. Thanks again!!

There is also Scrap Away in Stony Brook (in the Waldbaum's/Loew's movie theater shopping center)

Also, LTD Commodities (a catalog and online) just put out some new scrapbook stuff....a kids' theme, some stencils, stickers, and an armed forces theme
