Re: Scrapbooking!

not hard, just time consuming. I did a huge display @ the wedding w/ all pics of our guests, family some baby pics as well. It came out really nice, but I definitely needed twice as much time as I had thought.

First go through your pics, decide which you'll use. Then you cut them into pretty shapes & back them with matching paper. Arrange them, and you're done! I don't recommend a collage, which can be difficult to look at. This idea is excellent!!! You're guests will LOVE it! Everyone raved about it all night.

I'm hoping that there are pics of my display somewhere that I can post.

Re: Scrapbooking!

Throughout my FH and my relationship I made scrap books for all special occasions, birthdays and anniversaries mostly, and it's not easy! It takes a lot of time to place everything where you want it and glue and all of that kind of stuff, especially if you want to leave no blank space, then everything has to fit.... I wanted to do the same thing for my e-party but ran out of time so my friend who was good at photo shop made a little collage for me of some pictures we gave her with our reception place as the back drop. Everyone loved it! For supplies, don't forget about Kinkos, they have excellent poster board paper and will cut it to size for you. If you do an actual book they will bind it too which keeps it in good shape.

Sooo..

Since I got all the pics together last night..

What do I do next. Get the background and start cutting and then glue them to the poster board?

Re: Scrapbooking!

I made a scrapbook for my 1st year anniversay with FI. I gave it to him as a gift. It is very time consuming. Some pages took me a couple of hours to do. I was very anal when making it. There are some online stores to go to, also creative memories sells great supplies. If you can get to a Michael's, they sometimes offer classes which can be helpful! Good luck. Any questions, just ask.

Re: Scrapbooking!

Since you got all the pics together I would lay them out with the background and see how you want it then start cutting and glueing! I found that Micheals double sided scrapbooking tape works the best and is the easiest &clean to decide how much you need etc. but its just like glue so you can't take it off without ripping the poster board!

Re: Scrapbooking!

Theresa,

There is a scrapbooking store not too far from you in NJ, Bayone to be exact. Let me know if you want more info on the store. Im sure there you will find everything that you want/need to make your board!

Good Luck!

Michael's also gives classes on scrapbooking. I know Memory Makers is a big company in this area. I think they also hold classes.
