Hope you're feeling better Suzanne! I wasn't sure if you had seen my other posting since it was a few days ago.

I know it may be a drive for some of us depending on the location we decide to meet at, I think it would be easier if it was a scrapbook/craft store. I'm a beginner so I don't have all the tools and such. Plus I doubt anyone here would have enough room for all of us

i have some tools and i think the scrapbook store is best that way its not up to just one person to have to host these EVERY time..

im doing better teri, i think i was in the hospital when you posted that, so i didnt get a chance to see it.. thanks for asking

maybe we should have a mid suffolk group and a nassau group. I have alot of tools. i figured we could share what we had. I could have 5-6 people at my place, but thats all. I wouldn't mind though

Hmmmm...I might just jump on this boat...

I went to a scrapbooking class with MIL and it seemed fun....I currently have an album, 30 pages with protectors, stickers and die-cut papers, and LOTS of pics......I haven't gotten into it (maybe cause of all the work on the new house), but it would be a nice way to get to know more of you doing something fun....

Kind of like poker night for the ladies...

Only one problem - I will probably stink at it, and will be jealous of all of you!!

I think my mil bought one already. she uses the 40% off at michaels to buy the expensive stuff. she share with me so together we have alot of stuff

maybe one for Nassau and another for Suffolk would be better - mid-Sufffolk would be too far for me. I'm in central Nassau.

Marnles - don't worry, I'm new at this too!

I haven't been to that store yet, but I've been meaning to go. Wantagh's about 15 mins away from me Do they offer classes or space for crops too?

I would do a nassau one but my schedule is changing and I work late a lot b/c of closings in the city so I cant committ

sue- I finally took my stuff from merrie out of my trunk today lol
I may start a HM one, laurenconsidine gave me that idea..... I want to learn eyelets and buttons from you even if I cant make the club

its a VERY small store.. she was a yarn store and expanded to include scrapping.. some of her stuff is cute and her paper is really nice, expensive though.. but thats typical, your not going to see michaels prices at these kinds of stores.. she has a table set up and there is 2 and 4 hour crop nights..ill call her tomorrow and find out about space and nights..

tammy i am doing my hm one now too.. my qvc embellishment kit came yesterday so i am excited to learn.. i am going to try to learn this week and then i will show you!!

yeah, the store in CSH was small too, although not cramped. I wouldn't necessarily mind paying more $$ for some, more unique items, like the ones in CSH. Plus, knowing we can still buy the paper and other things at Michaels for less definitely helps

I wouldnt mind driving to Nassau but I really want to have a scrapbook night at my house!!
