SCRAPBOOKING question

SCRAPBOOKING question

Hi Scrappers,

I'm just getting started and had a question about paper.

When you are making a page, do you always use cardstock as the 'base'? It seems like if you use regular paper, the pictures and things would be too heavy for it.

Also, if you use cardstock as the base, that means you use regular paper on top of the cardstock as the background, right?

Hope I'm not asking stoooopid questions.

Not a stoooooopid question at all

I usually use cardstock as a base because I like the solid backround and it is a little sturdier. But I use a post bound album with page protectors and that provides additional reinforcement for regular weight paper. I use the patterend paper mostly as matting or for borders.

not stupid! I'm a patterned paper junkie so I use a sheet on all my backgrounds. It's definitely a lot heavier than the pages the album comes with.

Some pages will call for a solid background, some for a printed background. You can use the pages that are given to you in the scrapbook...I find them a little too thin, but I will take them out and use them for other stuff!!

ETS...no question is stupid!! ASK AWAY!!

Thanks!!! I was always unsure about that. Think I'll attempt another page soon. Just wish I had more time.
