I had previously posted about Massapequa, but I wanted some information about Seaford. Our real estate agent sent a listing in Seaford, so I thought I'd ask the experts!!!

Re: Seaford v. Massapequa
Very High Taxes - and water too I believe. Their school district is getting better, but I'm not too sure about the high school.
I lived in Seaford for 2 years and really loved it...whileI don't know much about the schools...I hear that they are good (while all I know about Massapequa is that they have had labor disputes in the past)
both Mass and Seaford have canals...

Re: Seaford v. Massapequa
Both excellent areas with good schools. I would live in either place. There are beautiful areas south of merrick road on canals and the open bay.
Good Luck

We looked at some houses in Seaford. The area is beautiful and we have heard the school districts are really good!

Re: Seaford v. Massapequa
From my research they both seem similiar. I THINK (my opinion) Mass is a little nicer, but that's just me - not really even sure why, I just like it better. The taxes seem to be avg of what Nassau's going for, unless of course you're RIGHT on the water. SD #23 is supposedly the best in Mass.

I live in Seaford and did not go to seaford schools, I went to Levittown schools...just so you know, you may not go to that district. it depends where you live. I love seaford and have no complaints about it

Re: Seaford v. Massapequa
I LOVE Seaford. I wish we could've bought there, but everything we looked at was way out of our price range. It is a phenomenal area to live b/c it is surrounded by all good areas. Massapequa is great too...just East Mass that's not so great.
