Do you think the seamstreses in the bridal stores really know their stuff, or is it better to go to an outside seamstress. My dress has a lot of detail on the bottom and on the top and I am really worried about the alterations. I know its early yet, but I want to think about who I will use. IF you used a seamstress outside the bridal store, who did you use?

I'm using the bridal store seamstress. I do know of a seamstress that's in Centereach. (a girl I know, it's her mother) she's on middle contry road, west of nicholls rd in centereach. rosies tailoring.

Re: seamstress opinion
I got my dress at kleinfelds, I am going to need a ton of alterations, and i have all the confidence in the world in them. I think one of the biggest parts of their reputation lies within their ability to please their customers, and that means making their dress fit to perfection. I would totally stick with the person they rest their reputation on...jmo

I used the seamstress at Macy's Bridal where I got my dress, and I was extremely pleased with the way everything came out. She really knew what she was doing and had worked on similar dresses before!
